Foundation for the Conservation of Contemporary Art

The Kröller-Müller Museum is involved with the projects initiated by the Foundation for the Conservation of Contemporary Art (Dutch abbreviation: SBMK). The SBMK is a cooperation of Dutch museums with modern and contemporary art collections, represented by curators and researchers. The SBMK is nationally and internationally involved with management, documentation, presentation and conservation of modern and contemporary art. The foundation promotes development of theory, discussion and research in this field to enhance the expertise of Dutch professionals. The SBMK initiates and organizes research projects, day courses and conferences, and is also involved with maintaining the international knowledge and information network for the exchange of expertise concerning conservation of modern art.
