Sign in for workshop Introdans and Kröller-Müller for over-50s
On Thursday 23 and 30 January 2014 the Kröller-Müller Museum, in collaboration with Introdans is organizing a special workshop for the over-50s: ‘Modern art moves: mic/MAC’. The workshop is a voyage through the heart of the museum and through the minds of exceptional artists. It is open to all over-50s in for a unique, inter(active) and unforgettable experience at the Kröller-Müller, guided by specialists from the museum and Introdans. Experience in dance (or knowledge of art) is not required; an open and fresh view is a definite advantage!Adriaan Luteijn (Artistic Manager Introdans Interaction) and Herman Tibosch (Coordinator Education Kröller-Müller) personally take up the challenge. They guide the participants on an active journey of inspiration through the museum, with a leading role for well-known and less familiar visual art and the work of Lucinda Childs. This American choreographer and dance innovator created a new high-profile production for Introdans last season. mic/MAC will be a quest for essence and patience, for minimalism and power of expression, from dance to art and back again, with a surprising, personal conclusion.
Modern art and modern dance make an inspiring combination. With the crossover-project ‘Dancing with the arts’ (2010-2012), Introdans and the Kröller-Müller Museum managed to persuade over a thousand schoolchildren to dance ‘with the collection’. A great success that did not go unnoticed by the other museum visitors. Almost daily, people were asking the museum if they could also participate in this. That set the organizers thinking and has now resulted in this surprising successor.
